BPS Author Studies

Dear Educators,

I am writing to you on behalf of the WNYCBE and the Medaille College Department of Education.  As a service learning project, my graduate education students and Allison Scumaci joined me in participating in this author/illustrator project.  In an effort to share our love for teaching reading to children and to practice technology integration to support the curriculum, we have created author/illustrator study Google slide presentations for the authors and illustrators visiting the Buffalo Public Schools. There are a PDF version of the presentations on the WNYCBE and Medaille College websites.

Below you will find:

To view the presentations, click on the “Download” button above each author/illustrator slide. We hope that you will enjoy using these resources while you study the author/illustrator and books as you prepare for your WNYCBE author/illustrator visits during WNY’s Kids Lit Week on November 4-8. The culminating event is at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center on Saturday, November 9 from 10-3pm.  Please join us to Celebrate the Power of Story and the WNYCBE 5th Anniversary.

Special thanks go out to the project team leader, Ms. Allison Scumaci and the Medaille College Master’s of Science in Elementary Education students listed below.

Happy Exploring,
Mary Beth Scumaci
